CS i.e. Control Systems...
Control System is an arrangement of different physical elements connected in such a manner so as to regulate, direct or command itself to achieve a certain objective. There are 2 types of control systems:
1) Open loop control system
2) Closed loop control system
At first, the student must prepare Sec-B. It is because 1 ques will be there on BODE PLOT and 2 on ROOT LOCUS. Hence 3 ques can easily be attempted by just studying 2 topics. Book to be referred is BARAPATE. Its really the best amongst all available in the market. All the questions are explained in the simplest way in this book.
There are certain fixed steps for solving ROOT LOCUS which is to be followed in every question. Hence one can easily score cent in Sec-B.
Now for Sec-A, there are certain topics which are needed to be covered. They are:
1) Block Reduction Technique
2) SFG(Signal Flow Graph) with Mason's gain
3) Time Response
4) Numericals based on Time Response(formula based)
5) Transfer Function
6) D.C.Servometer(armature controlled & field controlled)
7) Synchro Transmitter-Receiver
8) Numericals based on Transfer Function
9) Some important definitions
10) Stability & its types with brief explanation
Routh's stability criteria for finding the stability of the system is very important. This criteria is further used in ROOT LOCUS. Also in Sec-A question generally comes on finding the stability of the system for 6-7 marks. They are just bonus marks.
It is a very scoring subject.. Just have patience and solve the numericals with full concentration & I assure one can definitely score good in this particular subject.
